Description:

Primary Goal: Reporting to and supporting the Director, People Operations, the People Operations Generalist works to ensure smooth, efficient, and tech-forward business operations relating to the People Department. This position carries both administrative and execution-level responsibilities, serving as the primary Point of Contact (POC) and System Administrator for the HRIS. The People Operations Generalist will directly own payroll processing, HRIS workflow optimization, and reporting, while actively assisting with full-cycle recruiting and leveraging modern HR technology.


Responsibilities:



HRIS System Administration:

  • Act as the primary lead and subject matter expert for the HRIS (Paylocity or similar platform). Responsible for system configuration, troubleshooting, user training, and regular data audits.
  • Workflow Architecture: Build, optimize, and maintain automated workflows within the HRIS to streamline employee lifecycles and departmental efficiency.


Payroll Processing:

  • Own the end-to-end execution of company payroll, ensuring absolute accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Generate, analyze, and distribute routine and ad-hoc HR metrics and payroll reports to support data-driven decision-making.


Employee Experience & Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the employee base; answer inquiries regarding company policies, payroll, procedures, and benefits.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Facilitate seamless execution of onboarding, workforce management, leaves of absence, and offboarding.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) plans.



Culture & Engagement:

  • Participate in the planning and execution of company culture events and employee experience initiatives (e.g., GLOBO Gives Back, Wellness Month, employee recognition programs).


Recruiting Support & HR Technology:

  • Recruiting Assistance: Collaborate with hiring managers and talent acquisition to assist with sourcing, scheduling, screening, and moving candidates through the pipeline.
  • Recruiting Tech Utilization: Leverage and maximize modern recruiting technology (ATS, AI-powered sourcing tools, candidate CRM) to optimize the hiring process.
  • AI Integration: Maintain comfort with, and curiosity for, AI tools and automation to improve daily HR operations, drafting, and productivity.


Compliance & Operations:

  • Compliance & Policy: Draft and maintain HR policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and employee communications. Regularly review existing practices for compliance updates.
  • Confidentiality: Operate with high discretion and maintain the strict integrity and confidentiality of all business and HR matters, records, and data.
  • Communication: Exercise excellent communication skills via Slack, email, and open dialogue to ensure transparency and clarity across GLOBO management, employee, and independent contractor groups.
  • Special Projects: Complete special projects, compliance audits, and other strategic initiatives as assigned by People Management.



Required Minimum Education and Experience:


  • HRIS Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience as a system administrator for Paylocity (highly preferred) or a similar robust HRIS. Proven ability to build out custom workflows and maximize system capabilities.
  • Payroll Experience: Demonstrated experience independently running and managing payroll processing.
  • Tech-Savvy & AI Comfort: High comfort level adopting modern technology; experience utilizing advanced recruiting tech/ATS platforms and an openness to leveraging AI tools for operational efficiency.
  • Recruiting Knowledge: Prior experience assisting with recruitment functions and navigating candidate pipelines.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional customer service, rigorous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to pivot between tactical administrative tasks and strategic tech optimization.High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. College-level coursework in business, administration, human resources, logistics, or related or equivalent experience with 1-3 years in administration highly desirable
  • Three to five years of Human Resource experience required
  • HR certification, or intention to obtain certification, preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint and superior knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with Google Docs and Apple/Mac Operating System preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment: This position predominantly operates in remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers,. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand up or to sit for up to eight hours or more at a time. The employee must use his/her hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb, or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
