ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior HRIS Analyst with a strong background in Workday, specifically the Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules, to join our People Technology HRIS team. In this role, you will partner with HR leaders and collaborate with Payroll, Finance and other key stakeholders in managing, optimizing, and supporting our Workday Payroll system to ensure efficient, streamlined and accurate payroll operations. The Senior HRIS Analyst will analyze work process design and flow, drive system enhancements, perform trouble shooting, process improvements, ensure regulatory compliance (SOX, Tax) and leverage the return on technological capabilities. The Senior HRIS Analyst builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. This position also serves as a technical point of contact and acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Payroll, Absence Management, and Time Tracking. Ensuring optimal configuration, support and maintenance. The Senior HRIS Analyst also supports Workday releases, upgrades, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
COMPENSATION: $110,000 - $120,000/annually in addition to a competitive bonus plan
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives with the HRIS landscape, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality.
    • Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
    • Manage project migration, unit/system testing, documents change control and user sign off, ensure changes meet SOX compliance.
    • Document requirements for system modifications and improvements and manage progress through UAT to implementation.
  • Perform system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of Workday releases.
    • Collaborate with HR and Payroll teams to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related system issues. Coordinate application of upgrade or fix.
    • Maintain HRIS/Payroll system tables, configurations, earnings, deductions, tax set-ups and costing allocations in Workday. Documents process and results.
    • Support and enhance integrations between Workday and third-party payroll vendors.
  • Generate reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
    • Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Provide end-user support and conduct training, including developing user procedures (SOP), guidelines and documentation on existing, and new functionality or system changes.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years of Workday Analyst experience with at least 3 years of focused experience in the Workday Payroll module.
  • A strong emphasis and technical understanding of Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules preferably in a mid to large-sized organization in the health care space.
  • In-depth understanding of payroll processing, taxation, retro pay, and payroll compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of US Payroll laws and tax regulations.
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Working knowledge of Workday integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio) preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience using issue and project tracking tools (ex. JIRA, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical support skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
