Position Summary

The Payroll Systems Analyst supports and optimizes payroll systems, with a strong focus on Workday Payroll, to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing. This role partners cross-functionally with Payroll, HRIS, Finance, and IT teams to enhance system functionality, improve processes, and support ongoing transformation initiatives

Key Responsibilities
  • Workday Payroll Support - Provide ongoing system support for Workday Payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimized payroll processing across business units

  • System Enhancements & Optimization - Gather requirements, support testing, and implement system enhancements and automation tools; proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and user experience.

  • Execution & Delivery - Independently manage assigned tasks and projects, applying sound judgment, following established procedures, and ensuring timely and accurate completion

  • Documentation & SOPs - Develop and maintain desktop procedures and standard operating procedures to support consistent and compliant payroll operations

  • Requirements & Configuration Support - Translate business requirements into system configurations and functional specifications; maintain payroll elements including earnings, deductions, and tax settings

  • Stakeholder Partnership - Collaborate with Payroll Operations and cross-functional teams to identify system impacts, communicate updates, and mitigate risks

  • Testing & Release Support - Support system updates through test execution, documentation, and validation of payroll outputs to ensure accuracy post-implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HRIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4-5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years supporting Workday Payroll and HCM

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll configuration, testing, and reporting
  • Knowledge of payroll lifecycle and integrated systems (e.g., Workday Time Tracking, ADP, WFM)
  • Understanding of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) integrations
  • Experience supporting multi-state or cross-border payroll preferred
