Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our team. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a multi-client environment and serves as a trusted, client-facing partner, owning day to day payroll execution while also managing ongoing client relationships.

In this role, you will ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on time, maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, and proactively support client stakeholders through clear communication, issue resolution, and strategic guidance. You won't just be pushing buttons; you'll be a vital partner to our clients, ensuring their employees are paid accurately and on time while strengthening the overall client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle payroll for multiple client companies in iSolved
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders regarding payroll inquiries, reporting, and troubleshooting
  • Audit payroll data for accuracy including wage garnishments, tax jurisdictions, and benefit deductions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by acting as a consultative, responsive day-to-day partner
  • Manage a client portfolio by coordinating priorities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple accounts
  • Lead client onboarding and transitions (as applicable), including discovery, expectation setting, documentation, and coordination with internal teams
  • Proactively identify client risks, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities; communicate recommendations and drive solutions to resolution
  • Facilitate regular client touchpoints (e.g., check-ins, quarterly business reviews) to review service performance, changes, and upcoming needs
  • Partner with internal teams (payroll, HR compliance, benefits, insurance, PEO/ASO) to ensure seamless, coordinated support for clients
  • Support account retention through excellent service, issue escalation/management, and timely follow-through; identify opportunities to expand services in alignment with client needs (in partnership with leadership/sales)

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably in a PEO, HRO, or multi-client environment
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll tax regulations
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple client payrolls simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to own client communication end-to-end, balancing responsiveness with clear expectations and timelines
  • Comfort navigating client conversations, including explaining complex payroll topics to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-service orientation
