Position Summary:
The Accounting Associate is a key member of the accounting team that will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist in monthly financial reporting.

Essential Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP)
โ€ข Process and enter vendor invoices accurately into the accounting system.
โ€ข Review invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
โ€ข Resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
โ€ข Maintain vendor files and ensure W-9 forms and payment details are updated.
โ€ข Assist with weekly/monthly payment processing (ACH, wire, check).

Accounts Receivable (AR)
โ€ข Enter and apply customer payments (ACH, checks, wires) to open invoices.
โ€ข Prepare and maintain daily cash receipts logs and ensure timely posting.
โ€ข Support AR reconciliation and follow-up on unapplied or misapplied cash receipts.
โ€ข Assist with collections activities and customer account inquiries.

General Accounting Support
โ€ข Assist with month-end close activities related to AP and AR.
โ€ข Maintain proper documentation for audit and internal controls compliance.
โ€ข Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
โ€ข BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent highly preferred
โ€ข 2+ years' relevant accounting experience highly preferred
โ€ข Expert with Microsoft Office and working knowledge of accounting software (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)
โ€ข Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team setting
โ€ข Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines
โ€ข Legally authorized to work in the United States
