AUTOMOTIVE PARTS MANAGER

Mahalak Auto Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Automotive Parts Manager to oversee the parts department of our dealership. As an Automotive Parts Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, purchasing parts, managing a team of parts personnel, and ensuring accurate and efficient parts sales and customer service. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and a strong customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise the parts department, including hiring, training, and evaluating the performance of parts personnel.

- Oversee and maintain a $750,000 low obsolete parts inventory

- Develop and implement effective strategies for parts inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels and quick turnaround times.

- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, sales trends, and customer demands to make informed purchasing decisions and prevent stock-outs or excess inventory.

- Maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and evaluate the quality and delivery time of received parts.

- Develop and implement pricing strategies, promotions, and special offers to boost parts sales and increase customer satisfaction.

- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of parts orders and ensure prompt shipment or delivery to customers.

- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely provision of parts for vehicle repairs, minimizing vehicle downtime.

- Manage and resolve customer complaints or concerns regarding parts, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

- Maintain a clean and organized parts department, ensuring that parts are properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible.

- Stay updated on industry trends, new product releases, and technological advancements in automotive parts, and train parts personnel accordingly.


- Pass pre-employment testing, including background check, MVR and drug screening

Requirements

Proven experience as an Automotive Parts Manager or similar role within the automotive industry, Stellantis Experience preferred.

- In-depth knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and their applications across various vehicle makes and models.

- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Exceptional customer service skills, with a courteous and professional demeanor.

- Proficiency in using computer systems and parts management software, Reynolds & Reynolds knowledge preferred.

- Familiarity with inventory control systems and processes.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

- Valid Driver License with good driving record
