Athletes Unlimited is looking for a Director, Partnership Sales to lead and support sales efforts for the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) and other properties. This role is full-time and will report to the Chief Partnerships Officer.
Responsibilities
  • Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline broadening the reach and awareness of Athletes Unlimited and the AUSL in the sponsorship marketplace
  • Proactively identify, pitch, and close new partnership sales through existing relationships and cold outreach, ultimately helping Athletes Unlimited meet/exceed partnership revenue targets for existing leagues and new initiatives
  • Identify and develop league-wide assets, programs and packages to maximize Athletes Unlimited value proposition to partners and prospects
  • Establish and implement sales and new business development strategies and personally lead those efforts to develop leads and close deals
  • Attend and lead sales meetings, help craft sales materials, and collaborate with internal stakeholders on assets and execution
  • Maintain current knowledge of the sponsorship industry landscape, market trends and key category activity across sports, lifestyle and entertainment
  • Maintain entries for respective accounts in CRM system and other sales reporting tools as needed

Requirements
  • 7-10 years of sales experience with a focus and knowledge of integrated partnership development
  • Preference for agency or property/league level experience specific to brand partnerships
  • Experience with generating leads and closing deals with national brands/partners
  • Outstanding organizational skills, ability to follow through, and capable of meeting deadlines while balancing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Exception oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Candidate must be constantly innovating to help maintain Athletes Unlimited's position as a leading creative property
  • Solution-oriented, highly motivated, and proactive self-starter who works well as both a team member and individual contributor
  • Must be willing to travel for client interaction and to be on-site at league locations, approximately 25% of the time
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Benefits
This role provides a base compensation at an annual salary of $90,000 to $110,000 with opportunities to earn additional compensation on commission. This role is also full-time and remote.
