SUMMARY

The Partnership Sales & Business Development Manager for Discover The Palm Beaches (DTPB) is revenue-producing sales role responsible for driving revenue growth and long-term partner value through the development and execution of strategic, integrated partnership solutions. This role serves as a consultative sales leader, aligning partner business objectives with DTPB's full portfolio of assets across Marketing, Sales, Digital Technology, and Destination Stewardship. This position serves as a centralized, strategic point of contact for partners, responsible for packaging and monetizing cross-departmental initiatives into cohesive, revenue-generating partnership opportunities. The Partnership Sales & Business Development Manager will identify opportunities, design customized partnership strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver impactful programs that meet partner needs and organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute strategic partnership plans that generate revenue and align with DTPB's priorities and partner objectives.
  • Identify partner needs and design customized, multi-channel partnership solutions leveraging DTPB's full portfolio of assets.
  • Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of partners and prospects with a focus on new business, retention, and increased partner investment.
  • Drive new business through strategic prospecting, networking, outbound sales activity, and pipeline management.
  • Maintain and actively manage a robust sales pipeline, including lead generation, opportunity tracking, and forecasting.
  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals and sales presentations, translating partner goals into solutions that deliver measurable value and ROI.
  • Meet or exceed individual revenue targets through new business development, upselling, and account growth.
  • Lead negotiation and closing efforts to secure revenue-generating partnerships.
  • Coordinate with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, Destination Technology, and Destination Stewardship to develop integrated offerings and ensure successful execution.
  • Manage renewal processes with a focus on retention, upselling, and long-term partner growth.
  • Leverage CRM systems, performance metrics, and market insights to guide strategy and optimize results.
  • Serve as an ambassador for DTPB at industry events and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and grow the pipeline.
  • Gather partner feedback and industry intelligence to enhance partnership programs and offerings.
  • Primarily local travel within Palm Beach County, with flexibility for regional or national travel as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in partnerships, sales, business development, media sales, advertising, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and driving year-over-year growth.
  • Demonstrated success in new business development, prospecting, and closing revenue-generating partnerships.
  • Experience in consultative, solution-based selling, with the ability to develop integrated, multi-channel partnership offerings.
  • Strong pipeline management, sales forecasting, and CRM utilization experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Knowledge of the local market and business landscape.
  • Knowledge of tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing industry preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Ability to travel locally and attend events, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Must have valid driver's license and ability to meet with clients regularly.
