Location: In office, San Francisco (HQ)
Experience: 6-9 years
Reports To: Director of SI Partner Solutions
Focus: Own infrastructure, pipelines, and production apps supporting our partner ecosystemÂ
We are looking for a Partner Operations Senior Engineer to join our fast-growing Partnerships Team, with a shared mission to transform partner data into purpose-built applications and operational workflows that drive measurable business outcomes.
If you love sitting at the intersection of data engineering and product thinking, where the models you build power the applications your colleagues rely on every day, then this role was designed for you. You will architect and own the data infrastructure, applications, and operational systems that are at the center of how we understand, grow, and operate our partner business.
At Sigma, we drink our own champagne. You will be Customer Zero using our own platform to push it to its limits, feeding real-world insights directly to Engineering and Product, and setting a high bar for production-grade AI Apps built on our platform.
This role is based out of our HQ in San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Data Platform
Own the central data infrastructure underpinning all partner team assets: custom-enriched datasets, deduplication and mapping tables, and upstream change maintenance
Build and maintain the data foundation that everything else depends on: portal, applications, reporting, and the semantic layer
Stage and integrate new data sources as partner motions expand, including event and webhook pipelines flowing into Snowflake and the Partner Data Platform
Own certification data ingestion via API and maintain data quality for tier and program reporting
Domain Data Architecture
Build a dedicated data foundation for the SI partner segment: multi-domain entities, acquisitions, tiering logic, and RLS
Create centralized SI partner objects with unified mappings across regions, partner managers, domains, tier thresholds, and snapshotting
Application Engineering
Own the Partner Portal end-to-end: architecture, feature development, data modeling, and iteration, including a dedicated dbt project and Git-based model versioning
Manage bi-directional data pipelines: inbound feeds powering portal functionality, outbound pipelines pushing data back to systems of record and into CS consumption and internal metrics
Own the full application stack for recurring partner programs: data modeling, bi-directional data flow, approver workflows, alerts, notifications, and analytics
Drive UX design and application specifications before development begins incorporating the most recent features of the product
GTM Data Modeling
Design and maintain the data models powering the Partner Team's GTM motion: pipeline health, partner-influenced pipeline, joint pipeline insights, and consumption impact
Continuously test, refine, and improve models and metrics based on feedback and performance
Cross-functional Partnership
Serve as the primary data engineering interface across RevOps, Data Engineering, and Partner Ops, owning documentation, data quality standards, and proactive process improvement
Work closely with Partner Leadership to formulate roadmaps and strategic initiatives around partner operations
What we're looking for:
- 6-9 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related role
- Strong expertise in SQL and dbt, including managing multi-project dbt environments
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- Demonstrated experience building and owning internal line-of-business applications from requirements through production
- Experience architecting bi-directional data pipelines: ingesting from external sources and writing back to systems of record
- Experience with Sigma is highly preferred; backgrounds involving Retool, Appsmith, or custom web frameworks (React, Next.js) are directly relevant
- Comfort with UX design fundamentals: wireframing, user flow mapping, and translating requirements into specs - familiarity with Figma is a plus
- Strong business acumen in GTM and partner ecosystems specifically
- Comfort navigating a broad cross-functional stakeholder map across RevOps, Data Engineering, and Partner Operations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience at a SaaS company, ideally in a partner or GTM data context
- Experience with RLS design in multi-tenant data environments
- Experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Make, Workato)
- Familiarity with REST APIs and data integration patterns, particularly for certification or CRM platforms
- Experience with Python
- Startup or high-growth environment experience
