What is partner marketing?

Partner marketing is a collaborative strategy where two or more organizations work together to promote each other's products or services. This approach leverages the strengths and audiences of each partner to achieve mutual business goals, such as increasing brand awareness, generating leads, or expanding into new markets. Common partner marketing activities include co-branded campaigns, joint webinars, and shared content creation. The goal is to create a win-win relationship that benefits all parties involved.

How does a partner marketing professional typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute successful campaigns?

Partner Marketing professionals frequently work alongside sales, product, and content teams to develop co-branded campaigns and joint go-to-market strategies. They coordinate with partners to align messaging, share resources, and track performance metrics, ensuring mutual goals are met. Open communication and project management skills are key, as you’ll often manage several projects simultaneously and facilitate regular check-ins to address challenges and optimize campaign results.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a partner marketing professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Partner Marketing professional, you need expertise in marketing strategy, relationship management, and an understanding of partner ecosystems, often supported by a degree in marketing or business. Familiarity with CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and joint campaign management systems is typically required. Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills help build and maintain successful partner relationships. These abilities are crucial for driving co-marketing initiatives and achieving shared business goals with partner organizations.

Job description

Description
About Port
Port is the Agentic SDLC Platform. The way engineering teams build software is constantly evolving, and every new wave - such as AI agents operating across the SDLC - makes engineering more powerful, but also more complex and chaotic.
Port turns that chaos into control: one platform to build, govern, and operate the software development lifecycle, enabling every team to move as fast as technology allows.
Following our $100M Series C funding round, we are entering an exciting stage of significant growth and global expansion. As a product-led company, we believe the recipe for success is a world-class product that speaks for itself.
About your Day-to-Day:
We are hiring a Partner Marketing Manager to support and scale Port's growing product integration partnerships and ecosystem marketing efforts.
This role is responsible for planning and executing co-marketing programs with Port's strategic technology partners across the software delivery lifecycle, including agentic development environments, SCM, incident management, observability, security, workflow automation, developer tooling, AI & LLM's.
You will work closely with Product Partnerships, Product Management and Product Marketing internally, and with partner marketing teams externally, to bring joint stories to market. These stories will highlight how Port and its partners work together to enable autonomous workflows, self-healing systems, and agentic engineering practices.
This is an individual contributor role with high ownership and visibility. Success requires strong execution, clear communication, and the ability to coordinate across many stakeholders without formal authority.
What You Will Do
Partner GTM and Campaign Execution
  • Plan and execute co-marketing programs with integration and ecosystem Partners across the SDLC
  • Own joint launch plans for integrations and partnerships, including timelines, approvals, and promotion
  • Coordinate directly with Partner's marketing team to align messaging, assets, and distribution
  • Execute webinars, virtual events, blogs, launches, demos, and social promotion with Partners
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and meet quality and consistency standards

Content, Storytelling, and Enablement
  • Develop clear, compelling joint narratives that show how Port and Partners deliver value together
  • Create or manage co-branded content such as blog posts, demo videos, solution briefs, and decks
  • Work with Product and Partner Engineering to package workflows and demos for customer-facing use
  • Own and maintain the Partner content and Partner marketing pages, ensuring they are accurate, up to date, and aligned with current partnerships
  • Maintain Partner marketing toolkits and ensure assets are easy for internal teams to use
  • Support Sales, Partnerships, and Customer teams with field-ready materials

Program Management and Alignment
  • Drive internal alignment across Product, Product Marketing, Partnerships, and Operations
  • Track campaign execution, partner participation, and attribution
  • Help establish repeatable co-marketing motions that scale as the partner ecosystem grows

Requirements
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in partner marketing, product marketing, or ecosystem marketing within B2B SaaS
  • Experience working with developer tools, infrastructure products, or technical audiences is strongly preferred
  • Prior experience collaborating directly with external partner marketing teams
  • Strong storyteller who can clearly communicate technical concepts and joint value propositions
  • Highly organized and execution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns at once
  • Comfortable operating in cross-functional environments
  • Enjoys working closely with partners and building better-together narratives
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable in fast-moving environments
  • Comfortable using Monday.com or similar tools to manage campaign planning, timelines, and dependencies
  • Curious about developer ecosystems, automation, and the future of agentic software delivery

Why This Role Matters:
Port's integrations and partnerships are foundational to our platform strategy and our vision for autonomous engineering. This role plays a critical part in making those partnerships visible, impactful, and scalable as Port continues to grows.
