The Director, Business Development - Corporate Partnerships is responsible for generating new partnership revenue through the identification, cultivation, development and execution of strategic sponsorship opportunities that drive revenue growth and advance the PGA TOUR's commercial objectives.
This position manages a portfolio of prospective partners and actively develops relationships that lead to new commercial agreements across the PGA TOUR's sponsorship, media, digital, hospitality and event platforms.
The Director serves as a key contributor to the PGA TOUR's commercial growth strategy by developing partnership solutions that align sponsor objectives with the organization's assets and business priorities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Communications, Finance, Marketing or a related field.
  • 10 or more years of experience in business operations, commercial operations, strategic planning, project management, partnership administration or related functions.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business revenue and managing a sales pipeline.
  • Experience building relationships with senior corporate executives, agencies and key industry stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and consultative selling skills.
  • Knowledge of sponsorship valuation, partnership development and commercial marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to develop compelling business cases.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong communication and executive presence.

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans for assigned industries, categories and growth sectors.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective partnership opportunities.
  • Manage the sales process from prospect identification through executed agreement.
  • Develop customized partnership solutions utilizing PGA TOUR assets across media, events, digital, hospitality, licensing and other commercial platforms.
  • Consistently achieve established revenue and business development goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, marketing leaders, agency decision-makers and prospective partners.
  • Represent the PGA TOUR at industry events, conferences, client meetings and commercial engagements.
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with prospective partners to identify business objectives and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with industry influencers and strategic stakeholders that support business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop integrated partnership opportunities and commercial solutions.
  • Identify, develop and negotiate premier naming rights opportunities, coordinating enterprise-wide engagement across prospective partner organizations and aligning internal stakeholders to deliver integrated commercial solutions.
  • Manage the development of partnership proposals, presentations, financial models and business cases.
  • Evaluate industry trends, market opportunities and competitive activity to inform sales strategy.
  • Identify emerging categories and partnership opportunities aligned with the PGA TOUR's commercial objectives.
  • Partner with Media, Events, Studios, International, Sponsor Relations, Corporate Strategy, Legal and Finance teams to develop and execute partnership opportunities.
  • Support the successful transition of newly secured partners to account management and activation teams.
  • Ensure commercial opportunities align with organizational capabilities and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Operations teams to maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting.
  • Share industry insights, best practices and market intelligence with team members.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies, prospecting priorities and business development initiatives.
  • Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and revenue growth.
