Job description

Project Manager - Public Works
Halff has an immediate opening for a part-time Project Manager in our Public Works Group in our The Woodlands, TX office.
Position Overview:
This position will have direct responsibility for H amp;H projects including: Master Drainage Plans, drainage impact studies, watershed planning studies, large detention basin and channel H amp;H analysis, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR submittals, dynamic 1D/2D modeling using HEC-RAS and XP-SWMM, and H amp;H modeling to support storm sewer, detention, and channel improvement projects. The position would also involve the training/mentorship of other engineers and interaction with the clients.
The ideal candidate will be a strong technical engineer who has the desire to lead others and successfully manage projects. Halff is looking for someone who has the willingness and ability to deliver quality H amp;H/stormwater projects on time and within budget.
Candidates must have:
โ€ข 5-10 years of experience in H amp;H, floodplain analysis, and stormwater analysis
โ€ข Experience in the Houston area and general knowledge of local criteria (COH, HCFCD and others)
โ€ข PE License in Texas, or ability to obtain within 12 months
โ€ข Strong technical H amp;H knowledge
โ€ข Ability to manage H amp;H projects and lead/mentor staff
โ€ข Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS required
โ€ข 2-D H amp;H modeling experience preferred
โ€ข Stormwater design and CADD experience preferred
