Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Escondido is hiring part-time Prep Cooks! If you're detail-oriented, passionate about food preparation, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, this is a great opportunity to build your culinary skills in a dynamic brewery restaurant environment.
As a Prep Cook, you'll play a critical behind-the-scenes role-ensuring ingredients are prepped, organized, and ready to support smooth kitchen operations across daily service and large-scale events. This is a tip-eligible role with opportunities to gain hands-on experience and grow within a professional culinary team.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare and portion ingredients including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, breads, sauces, and stocks
  • Follow recipes and prep standards to ensure consistent quality and food safety
  • Maintain proper labeling, dating, storage, and inventory rotation (FIFO)
  • Support line cooks and kitchen teams with timely, accurate prep production
  • Assist with event prep and seasonal menu execution
  • Complete opening and closing prep duties efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
  • Communicate equipment or food quality issues to kitchen leadership
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement
