Island Sushi And Grill in Las Vegas, NV is looking for one Part-time prep cook to join our team. We are located on 9400 S Eastern Ave #103. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and prepare simple dishes
- Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking
- Weigh and measure ingredients
- Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
- Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces
- Label stock and inventory all ingredients
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Washes dishes in 3-compartment sink
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate and listen to team members
- Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
- Experience as a Prep Cook and Dishwasher a plus
- Must have SNHD Food Handler card
Compensation includes $14-16 hourly wage based on experience, and health insurance eligibility after introductory period for full-time (30 hours) employees.
