JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Behrend seeks a Sunday-Thursday evening/weekend, part-time library assistant for its Makerspace lab. This is 20-24-hour per week position. Duties include oversight and staffing of the Makerspace lab and desk, answering informational and directional questions, providing IT support for the library and the library's Studio One equipment, circulating the library's equipment collection, training & overseeing the work performance of evening/weekend Makerspace student staff, providing backup support to the library's circulation desk staff, assisting with library closing procedures and completing special projects as assigned. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, the ability to work independently as well as with others in a team, a commitment to providing responsive and innovative services to a culturally and racially diverse campus, and a high degree of reliability.
Hours are subject to change; therefore, an ability to work a flexible evening/weekend schedule is required.
