Preschool Teacher (EEC Certified)
Part-Time with Growth to Full-Time

Petal Path Montessori Academy is seeking a warm, intentional, and growth-minded Preschool Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for an EEC-certified teacher who is passionate about child-led learning, hands-on exploration, and creating a beautiful, engaging environment for young children.

This position will begin as part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as we expand into a licensed preschool program.

Petal Path is a Montessori-inspired, inclusive learning environment designed to support independence, creativity, and real-world skill development. Our programs emphasize practical life skills, sensory experiences, and meaningful play, all within a thoughtfully curated, high-quality setting.

Position Overview
The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for supporting the daily experience, guiding children through structured and unstructured activities, and helping to build a foundation for our transition into a licensed preschool program.

Responsibilities
Support and implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based and Montessori-inspired curriculum
Create a calm, engaging, and organized classroom environment
Guide children in practical life skills such as pouring, cleaning, food prep, and self-care
Support social-emotional development and positive peer interactions
Communicate effectively with families and team members
Maintain a safe and clean classroom aligned with EEC standards
Assist with documentation and preparation for EEC licensure as the program grows

Qualifications
EEC Teacher Certification required (Lead Teacher preferred or willingness to obtain)
Experience working with children ages 2–6
Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning
Montessori experience or interest strongly preferred
Warm, patient, and collaborative personality
Ability to take initiative and grow with a developing program

Schedule
Part-time hours to start (Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 am to 12:30 pm and Saturday 8:30 am to 1:00 pm) Option to also support Monday and Wednesday 3:30–5:30 pm for additional hours 
Opportunity for full-time position as program expands
