A growing multi-site organization is looking for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead employee training and development across its field operations.


This is not a traditional corporate L&D position. The person stepping into this role will work closely with operational leaders, manage Regional Trainers, strengthen onboarding and certification programs, and spend meaningful time in the field ensuring training translates into stronger employee and operational performance.


Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this position offers significant visibility and ownership across the organization.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and develop Regional Trainers supporting multiple markets

  • Lead company-wide onboarding, training, and certification initiatives

  • Improve training programs based on operational needs and employee performance

  • Work directly with field leadership to identify skill and performance gaps

  • Visit locations regularly to evaluate training execution and provide coaching

  • Support expansion, new-location openings, and operational initiatives

  • Monitor training metrics, employee development, certification progress, and onboarding effectiveness

  • Build scalable programs that support internal advancement, engagement, and retention


What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of learning & development, training, employee development, or operational leadership experience

  • Proven experience leading and developing people

  • Experience supporting employees across multiple locations, markets, or regions

  • Strong experience with onboarding, training programs, coaching, and frontline employee development

  • Background in retail, automotive, consumer services, hospitality, restaurant, or another multi-unit environment preferred

  • Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, and project-management skills

  • Comfortable working in active field environments

  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel

  • Valid driver’s license
