Job description

The Learning & Development Intern will support learning-content development, working closely with the Learning and Development leadership. This internship is designed for a graduate student with some prior coursework or experience in instructional design, adult learning, or a related field, and offers hands-on exposure to content development in a real-world learning function. 

LEARNING AND GROWTH 

  • Gain exposure to adult learning principles and learner-centered facilitation practices. 
  • Participate in course pilots, design reviews, and post-training evaluations as assigned. 
  • Receive regular feedback and mentorship on both facilitation and instructional design skills. 

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN AND CONTENT SUPPORT 

  • Work with the Director of Facilitation and Development and Learning Experience Designers to update and revise instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital learning materials. 
  • Assist in creating and revising presentations, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and assessments using established templates and direction. 
  • Revise materials based on feedback and direction from the Learning and Development team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in instructional design, education, organizational development, human resources, or a related field. 
  • Some coursework, practicum, or prior experience related to adult learning, training, or content development. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Familiarity with Canva, Asana, or comparable platforms. 
  • Interest or coursework in eLearning development. 
  • Interest in human services, healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, public health, or another regulated environment.
