Position Overview
Northwestern Mutual is seeking a professional and dependable Dialer / Appointment Setter / Administrative Assistant to provide direct support in our Skokie office. This in-office role is ideal for an organized, confident communicator who is comfortable making outbound calls, setting appointments, and providing administrative support to help the advisor manage client relationships and daily operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Make outbound phone calls to prospective clients on behalf of the Wealth Management Advisor, dialing a minimum of 40 phone numbers per day
• Confidently conduct cold calls to introduce Northwestern Mutual and schedule introductory meetings for the advisor
• Manage and maintain the advisor’s calendar, ensuring meetings are accurately scheduled and confirmed
• Track call activity, outcomes, and follow-ups using internal systems
• Follow approved call scripts while maintaining a professional, confident, and personable phone presence
• Provide administrative support including data entry, document preparation, and client record maintenance
• Represent the Wealth Management Advisor and Northwestern Mutual professionally in all client and prospect interactions
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client, prospect, and business information
Required Qualifications
• Strong verbal communication skills and confidence speaking on the phone
• Comfort with cold calling and professionally handling objections
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while supporting the priorities of one Wealth Management Advisor
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn Northwestern Mutual systems
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in an in-office environment in Skokie, IL
• Previous experience in appointment setting, administrative support, customer service, or phone-based roles is preferred
Expectations & Performance Metrics
• Consistently dial at least 40 outbound calls per day
• Meet or exceed appointment-setting goals established by the Wealth Management Advisor
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all call and administrative activity
• Uphold a high standard of professionalism when representing the advisor and firm
