Insurance Appointment Setter / Lead Generation Specialist

Position Summary

Insurance Group of Nevada Corp is seeking a motivated and organized Insurance Appointment Setter and Lead Generation Specialist to help grow our personal, commercial, health and life insurance business.

This position focuses on contacting former customers, following up with people who previously requested insurance quotes, developing renewal-date prospects, and scheduling qualified appointments for licensed insurance agents.

The successful candidate must be comfortable making outbound calls, maintaining accurate CRM records, following a structured contact schedule, and communicating professionally with customers and business owners.

Primary Job Duties

Contact former Insurance Group of Nevada customers for account win-back opportunities.

Follow up with prospects who requested an insurance quote but did not complete the process.

Contact assigned personal and commercial insurance prospects before their policy renewal dates.

Introduce callers to Dante Thompson and the Insurance Group of Nevada team.

Identify customer interest in auto, home, renters, commercial, workers’ compensation, health, Medicare, life and related insurance products.

Collect basic factual information from customers and prospects.

Schedule qualified telephone, virtual or in-office appointments with licensed insurance agents.

Confirm upcoming appointments and follow up with prospects who miss scheduled meetings.

Enter leads, contact attempts, appointments and detailed notes into the agency CRM.

Maintain accurate prospect stages, expiration dates and follow-up tasks.

Identify potential cross-selling opportunities among existing agency customers.

Send approved emails, text messages, intake forms and appointment confirmations.

Follow approved scripts and agency compliance procedures.

Complete assigned insurance-industry training through Total CSR.

Participate in coaching, call reviews, sales meetings and performance evaluations.

Protect confidential customer and agency information.

Immediately honor all customer requests not to receive additional calls.

Performance Expectations

The appointment setter will be expected to:

Complete approximately 60–80 outbound call attempts during a full workday.

Maintain accurate documentation for every customer interaction.

Generate approximately 15–25 qualified appointments per week after the training period.

Maintain an appointment-show rate of at least 60%.

Consistently follow up with assigned prospects.

Keep CRM tasks and prospect records current.

Complete Total CSR courses and assessments by assigned deadlines.

Demonstrate measurable improvement in insurance knowledge, customer communication and lead qualification.

Performance expectations may be adjusted based on scheduled hours, lead quality, market conditions and the types of insurance opportunities assigned.

Non-Licensed Position Limitations

Until properly licensed, the appointment setter will not:

Recommend insurance companies, policies, limits or deductibles.

Explain or interpret insurance coverage.

Compare substantive policy terms.

Quote, bind, sell or negotiate insurance.

Advise customers whether a loss or situation is covered.

Represent themselves as a licensed insurance agent or broker.

All insurance recommendations, coverage discussions, quoting and closing activities must be completed by an appropriately licensed insurance professional.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous appointment-setting, telemarketing, customer-service or insurance-office experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable making outbound telephone calls

Ability to build rapport and communicate professionally

Strong organization and follow-up skills

Experience using a CRM or other customer-management system

Ability to work independently and meet measurable goals

Reliable attendance and time management

Basic knowledge of personal, commercial, health or employee-benefits insurance

Willingness to complete ongoing training and pursue an insurance license

Ability to handle confidential customer information responsibly

Technology Requirements

The employee must be able to use web-based business applications, including:
