Medical Receptionist

Our purpose:

Position Overview: Clientele knowledgeable about scheduling opportunities and availability, maximizing schedule utilization, in order to carry through with the recommended plan of care; Supported clinical staff in the management and compliance of scheduling requirements and recommendations.


Status: Part time to Full Time, 20-30 hours a week


Hours: Flexible; Monday-Friday, 7:30am-6pm


Travel: This position will require the ability to travel between both the Oak Creek location and our Mount Pleasant location.


Pay: This position pays $14-$16 an hour, please only apply if you are able to meet this requirement.


Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, check voicemail
  • Review and respond to emails and tasks
  • Efficient and complete intake and scheduling of evaluation
  • Well versed in the patient dashboard
  • Therapists schedules maintained/conflicts resolved appropriately
  • Ensure all therapists vacations, clinic openings and closings, meetings blocked appropriately in scheduler
  • Referral log updated and maintained in Raintree
  • Reminder calls made to next day evals
  • Use of Raintree Connect
  • Document routing in and out electronic medical records
  • Communications related to a specific appointment documented in the appointment
  • Regarding status change
  • Rescheduling missed appointments
  • Collect payments at time of service
  • Knowledgeable in Deductible Program
  • Maintain communication log appropriately
  • End of day reports
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance
  • Maintain patient charts (ie filing, scanning, etc)
  • Weekly cancellation report
  • Maintain priority list
  • Maintaining the daily front desk checklist
  • Opening the schedule for the therapist who is working the Saturday of that week
  • Other daily front desk operations

Requirements:

  • Front desk experience
  • Healthcare experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
