QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
  • Licensure: Valid Ohio LSW or LPC required.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents and their families, experience with the foster care system a plus.

JOB SUMMARY:
We are hiring a part-time Case Manager who will be responsible for supporting Bellefaire JCB's Foster Youth Mentoring Program. This employee will be responsible for maintaining contact with their caseload and providing support on a monthly basis. This is a nontraditional part-time (20 hours/ week) position, as working some weekends/evenings will be expected to maintain contact with mentorship matches.
The Foster Youth Mentoring Program is a grant-funded, community-based program that follows all the same standards and practices as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. The program serves youth ages 10-21 that are in permanent custody of Cuyahoga County and has the capacity for up to 32 matches at a time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Providing supportive supervision to mentors, mentees, guardians and contract agency, as appropriate, to help maintain the integrity of mentoring matches through the entire match life cycle (interview, training, introduction, supervision, assessment and closure).
  • Remain in compliance with mentoring program standards, including specified documents, policies, practices, procedures and materials.
  • Responsible for all administrative aspects which enable the job to be carried out including, but not limited to, record keeping, supervision, attending staff meetings, monthly group and individual meetings with mentors, and other meetings and functions of agency, staffing of volunteer committee, attendance at agency events and outings.
  • Serving as a resource person and advocate to Bellefaire JCB and other appropriate community services.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and program standards.
