Department: Outpatient Pharmacy
Hours: PRN
Shift: First Shift - 8:30am-5pm

UC Health is hiring a  PRN Clinical Staff Pharmacist for the Outpatient Pharmacy Department at the University of Cincinnati's Medical Center. 
Clinical staff pharmacists fill orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies, provide drug information, and supervise and direct support personnel.  In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a clinical staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.

Education: B.S. in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy is required. PharmD preferred degree.
License and Certification: Licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Ohio ACLS preferred.
Years of Experience: Greater than or equal to a six-month hospital pharmacy internship or hospital experience as a pharmacist is preferred.  Preference will be given to completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency program (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision; work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergent requests; exercise sound professional judgment; communicate effectively (orally and in writing); and meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by UC Health.

Expected starting salary range for this position is between $60.27/hr.- $79.88/hr.
The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, and other requirements for the position.
