Summary/Objective
The Cancer Conference Facilitator is responsible for facilitating Tumor Conferences from the beginning to the end of the bi-monthly meeting. Ensures National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancer and Commission on Cancer standards are being met.
Essential Job Duties
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  1. Identifies and selects breast and solid tumor cases to be presented in a timely manner for each Tumor Board.
  2. Prepare case summaries for each case being presented.
  3. Notifies Tumor Board members of meeting date and time and provides them with case presentation information.
  4. Complete and send out to all required providers case recommendations.
  5. Participates with community outreach programs and Health Fairs.
  6. Mentors newly certified oncology data specialist and cancer registry assistant.

Required Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
1-3 years of related experience
Required License/Certifications
Current RN Licensure in the state of Texas
Oncology Data Specialist Certification
CPR
