Position Summary

Rome Health is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Imaging Tech Aide to join our Medical Imaging team on a per diem basis. Under general supervision, the Medical Imaging Tech Aide supports departmental workflow and patient care operations while maintaining productivity and ensuring a safe, compassionate patient experience.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with maintaining patient and departmental flow within the imaging department
  • Provide compassionate, appropriate, and accurate patient care support
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, physicians, technologists, and staff
  • Verify patient identity using two patient identifiers
  • Assess patient mobility limitations and physical capabilities
  • Prioritize patient safety and identify contraindications or concerns for technologist review
  • Support patient preparation and transport as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and departments to provide patient-focused care
  • Scan pertinent documents and technologist notes into PACS
  • Assist in expediting patient throughput and successive imaging services
  • Demonstrate competency in all assigned responsibilities following departmental training
QualificationsEducation
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience
  • Experience in an acute care hospital or medical office setting preferred
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and varying medical conditions
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
