Job Title: Warehouse Worker – Outbound Dock Team

11am - 9:30pm/4 days a week

40 - 48 hours

Weekly pay

Job Description

Join a high-performing outbound dock team in a modern distribution center, where you will play a key role in ensuring efficient and accurate outbound operations. In this physically demanding role, you sort totes and cases onto carts, wrap and secure loads, and safely load carts onto trailers for shipment throughout the day. You work in a fast-paced environment that values attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Sort totes and cases onto designated carts according to outbound requirements to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Wrap and securely fasten carts to ensure safe transport of products from the facility to their final destination.
  • Load prepared carts onto trailers for delivery, following safety and loading procedures.
  • Perform packing and general material handling tasks to support outbound dock operations.
  • Use RF scanners to scan, track, and verify products as they move through the outbound process.
  • Operate pallet jacks to move pallets and carts safely around the warehouse floor.
  • Pick and stage orders accurately based on outbound documentation and instructions.
  • Apply labels and ensure correct identification of products, carts, and pallets.
  • Support general production and warehouse activities as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet productivity targets and contribute to a high-performing team environment.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, moving, and handling totes, cases, and carts throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting, labeling, and loading of outbound products.
  • Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks during the day.
  • Basic material handling skills, including packing, unloading, and general labor tasks.
  • Experience or comfort using RF scanners for tracking and verification of products.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks safely within a warehouse environment.
  • Reliability and willingness to work extended hours from late morning to evening until work is complete.
  • Prior experience in a physically demanding role is preferred but not required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, or general production environments is an asset.
  • Experience with order picking and loading in a logistics or distribution setting is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with labeling processes and basic inventory or order tracking is helpful.
  • Comfort working as part of a large team and contributing to shared performance goals.

Why Work Here?

You will work in a modern distribution center that invests in automation and provides a clean, organized environment where everyone contributes to shared goals. The culture emphasizes teamwork and aims to treat contract workers and full-time employees consistently, creating a sense of inclusion and respect. You join a large, supportive team where each person’s contribution matters and where high performance is recognized and encouraged.

Work Environment

This role is based in a modern distribution center equipped with automated systems, providing a clean and organized workspace. The facility is heated but not cooled during the summer, so conditions can be warmer during hotter months. You work in a fast-paced environment alongside a large team of approximately 80 to 100 frontline workers on the floor, where everyone is expected to do their part to keep operations running efficiently. The schedule follows a four-day workweek: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesdays off. Shifts start at 11:00 a.m. and run until work is finished, typically between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., so flexibility to stay until completion is important. You will regularly use RF scanners and pallet jacks and handle totes, cases, and carts as part of daily operations. Dress code expectations align with a typical warehouse environment, prioritizing safety and practicality.
