Job Title: Outbound Associate HIRING TO START IMMEDIATELY
Job Description
The Outbound Associate, also known as a Personal Shopper, picks and packs grocery items and other goods, scans products to complete customer orders, and ensures that all items are properly protected for safe delivery. This position focuses on accuracy, speed, and careful handling of fresh and packaged products in a cold storage environment and does not require previous experience.
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack grocery items and other goods accurately according to customer orders.
- Scan all items using handheld scanning equipment to ensure complete and correct orders.
- Process orders by performing picking, scanning, and packing tasks efficiently and safely.
- Protect customer goods by packing items carefully to prevent damage during transport.
- Audit products for quality, especially fresh produce and perishable items, and remove any items that do not meet standards.
- Follow safe food handling practices specific to the department and comply with all food safety guidelines.
- Maintain excellent safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity standards within the distribution warehouse.
- Assist in housekeeping tasks within the department to keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Maintain a team player mentality by assisting coworkers and supporting other areas when needed.
- Perform work that requires standing and walking for 6–10 hours or more per day.
- Use hands for single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Perform physical motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching as part of daily tasks.
- Work consistently in cold environments, including freezer and refrigerated areas, while maintaining productivity.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the use of oil and slip-resistant shoes and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Essential Skills
- Ability to count items accurately and maintain precise order quantities.
- Ability to use scanning equipment to process and track items.
- Experience or strong aptitude in shipping and receiving, stocking, or inventory-related work.
- Comfort working in cold environments for up to 8 hours at approximately 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Experience handling fresh produce or a strong interest in working with fresh food items.
- Basic customer service mindset with a focus on accuracy and order quality.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (6–10 hours or more) during a workday.
- Ability to perform physical motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Willingness to work with FDA-approved cleaning chemicals in a warehouse environment.
- Commitment to maintaining safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.

Work Environment
This role is based in a modern, state-of-the-art distribution facility that emphasizes efficiency, safety, and innovation. You will work primarily in cold environments with constant exposure to temperatures below -10 degrees Fahrenheit in freezers and 32–40 degrees Fahrenheit in refrigerated areas. A typical workday involves standing and walking for 6–10 hours or more, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling. You will regularly use handheld scanning equipment and handle products in accordance with safe food practices. The position requires the use of FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and adherence to strict cleanliness and safety standards. Oil and slip-resistant shoes are required to ensure safety on warehouse floors. The environment is fast-paced, team-oriented, and focused on maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
