Job Description

The Outbound Associate, also known as a Personal Shopper, picks and packs grocery items and other goods, scans products to complete customer orders, and ensures that all items are properly protected for safe delivery. This position focuses on accuracy, speed, and careful handling of fresh and packaged products in a cold storage environment and does not require previous experience.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack grocery items and other goods accurately according to customer orders.
  • Scan all items using handheld scanning equipment to ensure complete and correct orders.
  • Process orders by performing picking, scanning, and packing tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Protect customer goods by packing items carefully to prevent damage during transport.
  • Audit products for quality, especially fresh produce and perishable items, and remove any items that do not meet standards.
  • Follow safe food handling practices specific to the department and comply with all food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain excellent safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity standards within the distribution warehouse.
  • Assist in housekeeping tasks within the department to keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Maintain a team player mentality by assisting coworkers and supporting other areas when needed.
  • Perform work that requires standing and walking for 6–10 hours or more per day.
  • Use hands for single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
  • Perform physical motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching as part of daily tasks.

Pay and Benefits
