Job description

This position requires instructor to be bilingual (English/Spanish). The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
For over 117 years, Residing Hope, has provided a place where love, hope and care transformed the lives of children and families in need. In 1908 the Florida Methodist Orphanage was established in Enterprise, Florida. We are now a diverse ministry that includes therapeutic residential care, foster care, independent living assistance, Montessori education for the community, and counseling services in multiple counties.

Independent Contractor Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Deliver the curriculum prepared by the Education Coordinator/ teacher
  • Administer pre-test and post-test to the minors and evaluate them
  • Conduct the initial educational assessment
  • Place newly admitted minors at the appropriate instructional level based on their educational background.
  • Complete a personalized educational plan (PEP)
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of the minors and complete the progressive report

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor, with two years of experience as a teacher
  • Bilingual Spanish/English
  • Proof of Immunizations:
    • 2 doses- Varicella
    • 2 doses- MMR
    • 1 dose- Tdap within the past 10 years
    • 1 dose- Influenza during flu season, (August/September through June)
    • Yearly requirement of Influenza and TB testing

Pay Rate: $22 per hour
