Position Overview: The Planner will have the responsibility to accurately and efficiently enter and plan work orders by performing a technical review of incoming orders, engineering blueprints, and processing specifications.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Second front-end data stage in which processing requirements are qualified and entered.
  • Perform detailed contract and flow down review and input order basics such as PO#, part number, reference codes, quantity, etc.
  • Verify that information needed for order planning is available and accurate.
  • Identify, input, and sequence specifications, processes, and customer specific requirements.
  • Qualify order lead-time and due date against quoted and archived information, company standards, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure the company possesses applicable approvals towards specification and revision levels being called out.
  • Interface across all levels of personnel to troubleshoot and/or qualify information necessary to assembling a work order.
  • Work closely with Customer Success Representatives to obtain any missing flow-down requirements from the customer.

Additional:
  • Provide hands-on, cross-functional support across various Customer Service, Administrative and project-based responsibilities.
  • Take part in applicable ongoing training sessions and continuous process improvement programs and participate in periodic testing and performance evaluations.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of MIL's processing capabilities, general procedures, and quality standards.
  • A detail oriented individual with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have critical thinking skills and the ability to develop solutions for complex situations.
  • Ability to complete work projects with speed and accuracy, often under pressure and/or short deadlines.
  • PC proficient with a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a data entry, data analytics, or contract review position, preferably in an aerospace, manufacturing, metal finishing, or industrial setting.
  • College degree preferred. Must have a high school degree at a minimum.
  • This position requires access to ITAR-controlled information and materials. The successful candidate must meet all ITAR eligibility requirements, including being a U.S. person as defined by ITAR.

Reports To: The Planner will report directly to the Customer Success Manager.
Hours: Standard office hours, some overtime will be required.
