Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Pick correct parts and quantities according to the sales orders (pick slip)
  • Utilize personal lift equipment, carts, or pallet jacks to properly move the items
  • Package orders using standard commercial packaging provided to eliminate damage to parts or products
  • Follow quality procedures to ensure part numbers and quantity of items are correct and quality of the packaging are up to standard
  • Use of computer to enter the correct data into the shipping software for each shipment
  • Sort packaged freight to appropriate carrier bin
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to ensure shipments are sent in a timely fashion
  • Keep an organized, clean, and safe work area

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Continuously standing and walking
  • Continuously hearing forklift traffic and other noise
  • Continuously inside work in a climate-controlled environment
  • Continuously works independently but as a part of a group to meet team deadlines
  • Frequently lift items <20 pounds
  • Frequently push and pull carts
  • Frequent handling of product with occasional use of gripping items
