Job Overview

The shipping Packer is responsable for preparing, packaging, labeling, and standidng profducts for shipment. This role supports shipping operations by ensuring customer orders are packed accurately, safely, and on time while maintaining a clean and organized work enviroment.

A Day In The Life

Every day at DMC Power/Hubbell is different, and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:

  • Packaging products according to shipping requirements and customer specifications. 
  • Inspecting materials and finished goods for quality before shipment.
  • Labeling, palletizing, and preparing orders for domestic and international shipments. 
  • Verifying quantities, part numbers, and shipping documentation. 
  • Safely handling materials and moving products throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures. 
  • Assisting with inventory accurancy and cycle count activities as needed. 
  • Collaborating with team memebers to meet shipping schedules and customer deadlines. 
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, packing, or manufacturing expereinces preferred but not required. 
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and perform continuous physical work throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to read work orders, shipping labels, and packing instruccions. 
  • Basic computer skills and experinces using scanners or shipping systems preferred. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing enviroment. 
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance record. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team.
