Sales Representative - Manufacturing


As a Sales Representative - Manufacturing at Fishbowl Solutions, you will drive new business growth by connecting manufacturing companies with the knowledge and content management technology solutions they need to modernize operations, streamline supply chains, and improve efficiency. You'll build and manage a pipeline of new accounts, develop strong relationships with Oracle sales partners, and serve as a trusted advisor to manufacturing clients navigating complex technology decisions. This is the role for you if you love to hunt for net new business, develop a strong pipeline of opportunities, and drive to close deals.

A typical day might include:

  • Prospecting and developing new business relationships with manufacturing companies - including industrial equipment, aerospace, and process manufacturing firms - to build and grow your territory pipeline
  • Collaborating with Oracle sales reps and field personnel to co-sell into manufacturing accounts and stay current on the Oracle product roadmap relevant to your industry vertical
  • Running consultative discovery calls and tailored product demos with IT leaders, supply chain managers, and C-suite executives at manufacturing organizations to map their operational challenges to Fishbowl's solutions
  • Managing your full sales cycle - from lead generation and pipeline development through proposal creation, negotiation, and close - with a goal of $2.4M in annual revenue
  • Maintaining an active pipeline of 4x quota through consistent outreach, partner meetings, and new opportunity creation across your assigned manufacturing accounts
  • Coordinating cross-functionally with Fishbowl's consulting and delivery teams to ensure smooth handoffs and exceptional client experiences post-sale
  • Keeping CRM records updated daily with accurate pipeline data, contact activity, and deal progression to inform forecasting and sales strategy
  • Attending partner events, tradeshows, and customer site visits to develop relationships and drive new business development within the manufacturing sector
  • Providing competitive and market intelligence back to the team to help refine messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy for manufacturing-focused solutions
  • Supporting marketing programs and contributing to sales planning initiatives as part of a collaborative, cross-functional sales team

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of inside and outside sales experience in software, technology, or services, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota
  • Experience in consultative selling, including uncovering customer requirements, delivering impactful presentations, and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain senior-level relationships across IT, operations, supply chain, and executive functions within large accounts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent presentation and organizational abilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline of $3-$7M annually, prioritize multiple opportunities, and stay focused on consistent pipeline-building activity
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience); working knowledge of CRM, MS Office, and professional social media platforms

  • Prior experience selling into manufacturing verticals such as industrial equipment, aerospace and defense, process manufacturing, or supply chain-intensive industries
  • Familiarity with Oracle products, the Oracle partner ecosystem, or enterprise software sales through an indirect channel model
  • Experience with large account management and selling to multiple buying functions within a single organization (IT, Purchasing, Supply Chain, HR, Finance)
  • Proven history of achieving an annual quota of $1.3M+ and managing a book of business through structured sales methodologies
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for partner events, tradeshows, and customer meetings to build relationships and accelerate deal cycles
