This position is overnights, 6PM-6AM in office
POSITION SUMMARY
As an Operations Support Representative your primary task will be planning of trucks and loads on the weekends during your shift. You will be also doing general dispatch functions to communicate with the drivers and customers through written and verbal communication. This is a fast pace position and require the ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide direction to drivers to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Plan equipment and loads
  • Communicate via, email, cell phone and IM systems to both drivers and customers.
  • Monitor and track driver performance to ensure on-time delivery and safe driving practices.
  • Create load routes
  • Communicate with driver to provide dispatch information, support, guidance, and address any issues that may arise during their trips.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, such as delays and mechanical malfunctions to minimize disruptions and maintain service quality.
  • Analyze data and reports to ensure FDA food safety, fuel efficiency, and overall fleet performance.
  • Collaborate closely with dispatchers to coordinator driver assignments, track shipments, and update delivery schedules as needed to meet customer demands and operational targets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries afterhours, providing timely and accurate responses to address concerns, resolve issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; required
  • Associate degree (Logistics, Business Management, or relatable field); preferred

Experience:
  • 1 plus years of experience in the transportation industry.
  • AS400 experience; a plus

Computer Skills:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products and Windows.
  • Ability to learn and use proprietary software.
  • Advanced keyboarding skills.

Essential Skills:
  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
