The Center for Computational & Digital Health Innovation (CCDHI) at Duke University is seeking a Program Coordinator to help advance the future of healthcare through innovation, collaboration, and discovery. In this role, you will work directly with faculty, researchers, clinicians, trainees, university leaders, industry partners, and external stakeholders to coordinate the operational and programmatic activities that support the Center's mission.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys managing multiple initiatives, bringing people together, planning impactful programs and events, and supporting cutting-edge work at the intersection of healthcare, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and computational science. You will play a key role in ensuring the success of educational programming, communications efforts, outreach initiatives, strategic partnerships, and day-to-day Center operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Generally requires a Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, public administration, higher education, healthcare administration, project management, or a related field.
- One year of experience in program coordination, administration, communications, operations, event management, project coordination, or related activities.
- OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting academic, healthcare, research, innovation, or technology-focused programs.
- Experience coordinating educational programming, conferences, workshops, seminars, or special events.
- Experience managing budgets, procurement activities, invoice processing, or financial reporting.
- Experience working with faculty, executive leadership, external partners, donors, or industry collaborators.
- Knowledge of university administrative processes and business operations.
- Experience developing newsletters, website content, social media communications, and marketing materials.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze processes and implement operational improvements.

As the Program Coordinator, you will provide operational, administrative, financial, and communications support that enables CCDHI to successfully deliver innovative programs and strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate Center Operations by administering operational, administrative, communications, and program activities that support the mission and strategic priorities of the Center for Computational & Digital Health Innovation.
- Manage Programs and Events by planning and coordinating seminars, workshops, networking events, trainee engagement activities, donor events, Technology Roundtables, Demo Day programming, educational initiatives, and other Center-sponsored activities.
- Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement by serving as a primary liaison for faculty, trainees, university leadership, industry collaborators, vendors, contractors, donors, and external partners to support interdisciplinary collaborations and strategic partnerships.
- Support Executive Leadership by coordinating schedules, preparing meeting materials, organizing agendas, facilitating communications, tracking action items, and providing administrative support for Center leadership and Executive Team activities.
- Coordinate Communications and Outreach by supporting newsletters, website content updates, social media communications, marketing materials, public announcements, and promotional campaigns that increase awareness and engagement with Center initiatives.
- Manage Financial Operations by assisting with budget development, financial tracking, procurement activities, invoice processing, purchasing transactions, reconciliation activities, expenditure monitoring, and reporting in collaboration with university administrative offices.
- Track Program Performance and Reporting by monitoring milestones, operational metrics, engagement activities, deliverables, and reporting requirements while preparing summaries, presentations, and reports for leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive Operational Excellence by developing and implementing workflows, coordinating resources, identifying process improvements, and resolving operational challenges to improve efficiency and effectiveness across Center initiatives.
- Oversee Support Personnel and Vendors by coordinating and monitoring the work of student workers, trainees, temporary staff, contractors, and external vendors contributing to Center operations and programming.
- Balance Multiple Priorities by exercising independent judgment to manage competing deadlines, coordinate concurrent projects, anticipate needs, and ensure successful program execution.
