Description:

The Deposit Operations Assistant posts, processes, and maintains transactions and accounts. This role uses technology and computer software to enhance customer services, efficiency, and workflow. The Deposit Operations Assistant follows policies and procedures and adheres to compliance with laws and regulations of the department.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Posting transactions by:

· Entering dollar transactions.

· Conducting daily tasks/report reviews.

· Processing NSF and non-post information from the Exception Item Module.

· Verifying prior day transactions and account maintenance.

· Verifying maintenance on accounts.

· Handling address changes, rate changes, and account type changes.

Processing Demand Deposit Savings and Certificates of Deposit by:

· Processing worksheets received from Personal Bankers.

· Handling address changes, rate changes, and account type changes.

· Printing notices and interest checks.

· Actively working with clients to convert interest checks to ACH.

· Checking maintenance reports to verify new/cancelled accounts.

· Verifying prior day transactions and account maintenance.

· Posting internal account recon-CRS.

· Coordinating stop payment processing.

· Entering chargeback processing.

· Processing and tracking account refunds.

· Sourcing and following up on client research and requests.

· Processing Teller Alert reports.

Maintaining system and account maintenance by:

· Reviewing maintenance reports and Teller Alerts to validate and/or take action as required.

· Providing system verifications and account maintenance.

· Emailing address, name line 1, and business analytics reports.

· Monitoring new mobile customers for correct set-up.

· Coordinating statement requests.

· Processing weekly saving Deposit Rate sheets in Director.

· Balancing general ledger accounts.

· Conducting Director maintenance – scanned documents and controls.

· Setting up scheduled and balanced protection for customers.

· Updating documents.

· Sending daily mailing of EIM notices.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Seeking ways to streamline services/workflow to improve efficiencies.

· Providing backup coverage to the switchboard as needed.

· Providing customer service as needed, including research, address updates, photocopying, etc.

· Scanning, indexing, and re-indexing as needed.

· Providing backup to other areas within Deposit Operations as requested.

· Performing other duties as assigned.

This position is located in an office environment with artificial lighting and controlled heating/air conditioning.
