Job description

Position Summary: 

As a Business Outfitter’s Operations Associate, you support the maintenance and refresh of enterprise  customer apparel programs, including but not limited to: providing guidance and support in the design of custom websites, working closely with CFP to determine which products the customer will carry season to season, developing creative materials from templates & implementing new solutions, understanding customer business requirements and how they relate to Lands’ End processes, executing customer reporting needs, launching and maintaining complex IT solutions and supporting customer contacts in a number of other tasks as needed. You will work with a variety of internal and external resources to execute processes and solutions that meet customer program requirements. This may also include custom product development and custom IT solutions. These resources will include: Creative, merchandising, inventory management, design, call center, A/R, analytics, IT and outside vendors. You should also be willing to learn and model Lean and Agile methodologies in order to provide quick turnaround on customer needs, resolve complex business problems, actively look for opportunities to improve day-to-day operational processes, and work as part of a team to report on activities that impact the health of the business.

  • Support ongoing successful launches & enhancements for assigned accounts – this includes ensuring that all milestones are achieved promptly and effectively (with or without the involvement of a Project Manager)
  • Support & manage aspects of successful business reviews for assigned accounts
  • Meet all requirements to execute & maintain successful enterprise accounts including contractual reporting, SLAs, storefront complexities, allocation programs, custom IT functionality, marketing requirements, special billing requirements, assortment management, pricing management, wear test execution, etc.
  • Work with sales partner to execute upon the strategic vision for account growth - with or without the involvement of an Account Project Manager.
  • Act as main point of contact for customer needs during the maintenance phase, supporting them in ordering activities and other needed work. Collaborate with clients to deeply understand their business objectives & launch goals to customize and tailor their ordering experience for each launch. This may include custom product development and IT solutions.
  • Operations Associates should also identify new opportunities for sales growth within the accounts and share with Sales Rep assigned to account. May travel to marketing events as needed.
  • Serve as day-to-day contact for Customer Contacts for operational requests such as order issues, logos, websites, inventory/on-hand statuses, etc.
  • Coordinate and facilitate client meetings with a focus on retention, implementation of new opportunities and relationship building. May also lead smaller cross-functional meetings to achieve client needs.
  • Manage relationship and communication between cross-functional partners and customers.
  • Track and report key performance indicators related to ongoing launches & execution of new ordering solutions.
  • Able to run and troubleshoot client reports in Microsoft Excel and Access - reports may be related to finance, product inventory, payment methods, etc.
  • Independently create new processes to meet the needs of your customer(s), including those necessary to resolve issues and those that have benefit to both enterprise clients and Lands' End Outfitters.  May design, document, test and roll out new processes.
  • Participate in additional projects as assigned to achieve strategic business goals.
  • Act as a resource to colleagues who have less experience.  Often considered an informal leader among peers.
  • Travel may be required 4-6 times per year to support accounts
  • May work on special projects/other duties as assigned

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales Operations, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • 1+ year sales support experience supporting B2B clients.
  • Proven track record of success in sales operations, with a focus on Large national accounts.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal  with negotiation skills as well as the ability to think creatively.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships. 
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools. 
  • Knowledge of Lands’ End Product is a plus 
  • Willingness to travel as required. 
  • Action oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects while remaining flexible in a self-directed, organized, decisive, professional and objective manner.
  • Ability to identify & implement innovative operational processes while owning all points of implementation and execution for enterprise requests
  • Experience in effectively collaborating and communicating with customers and colleagues in a friendly, easy-to-understand and efficient manner, consistent with Lands' End philosophies. Comfortable communicating with senior level executives at a client site.
  • Ability to delegate, hold self and others accountable, and prioritize tasks for optimum efficiency.
  • Ability to present in front of a large group on a topic with which you have expertise.
  • Demonstrate independent problem-solving skills with the ability to uncover root causes and successfully implement resolution.
  • Ability to be flexible and embrace change in a positive manner.
