Job description

About TensorWave

Our mission is simple: deliver seamless, secure, reliable, and resilient AI compute at scale. We've built a versatile cloud platform that eliminates infrastructure barriers, empowering builders to focus on innovation instead of fighting their stack. Because breakthrough AI should move at the speed of ideas, not infrastructure.

About the Role

We are growing at an extraordinary pace. To support this growth, our functional team (AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Leases) are actively leading high-priority operational projects and process enhancements. To enable continuity for our daily accounting functions while these projects are underway, we're hiring a Senior Operations Accountant.

This role serves as a versatile, hands-on partner to accounting leadership. You'll act as the operational bridge across our financial functions — stepping in to provide targeted backfill for AP, AR, and fixed asset workflows, resolving immediate operational items, and driving action items to completion. You’ll help maintain operational excellence, ensure work continues to move forward without interruption, and provide the flexibility needed to support a rapidly scaling finance organization. If you're an exceptionally organized, cross-functional accountant who thrives on execution, clear structure, and keeping operations moving forward seamlessly, this role is built for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive Action Items & Accountability: Serve as an operational anchor for the team. Maintain action-item trackers, follow up on outstanding deliverables across accounting workflows, and ensure critical operational targets are consistently met.

  • Support Close-Cycle Continuity: Assist with month-end, quarter-end close, and year-end close activities by preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and driving the close checklist to completion so the close remains on schedule while functional leads focus on strategic initiatives.

  • Provide Cross-Functional Coverage: Deliver seamless operational cover across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Revenue, and Fixed Assets in NetSuite. Step in to manage day-to-day accounting activities, resolve operational issues, process transactions, administer fixed asset activity, and maintain continuity whenever functional leads are dedicated to high-priority projects.

  • Exercise Accounting Judgment: Identify discrepancies and/or process breakdowns before they become bigger issues, and bring recommended solutions to accounting leadership.

  • Support Audit Readiness: Maintain organized supporting documentation, prepare audit schedules, respond to PBC requests, and help ensure accounting records, reconciliations, and operational processes remain audit-ready through the year.

  • Organizational Partnership: Work directly alongside accounting leadership to structure team priorities, streamline tracking mechanisms, and ensure key operational deadlines are consistently met.

  • Drive Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, eliminate manual processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the scalability of accounting operations. Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.

  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Operations: Partner closely with Procurement, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, People Operations, and other business functions to ensure accounting-related activities, approvals, and operational deliverables move forward efficiently.

Who You Are Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive general accounting experience, ideally including a high-growth or startup environment.

  • Broad Accounting Core: Solid, hands-on proficiency across general ledger operations — including journal entries, account reconciliations, AP processing, AR and collections management, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset tracking.

  • Technical Accounting Foundation: Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP as applied to day-to-day transactional accounting.

  • Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or a comparable ERP system) required.

  • Execution Focus: Naturally proactive and solution-oriented. You take pride in bringing structure to open initiatives and maintaining momentum without requiring step-by-step oversight.

  • Sound Judgment & Communication: Able to identify what needs escalation versus independent resolution, and to bring solutions — not just questions — to leadership and cross‑functional segment leads.

  • Exceptional Organization: Outstanding attention to detail, time management, and organizational discipline; you reliably manage sensitive financial responsibilities with professionalism.

  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Active CPA licensure is preferred, but not required — we prioritize practical, hands‑on accounting experience, agility, and a strong track record of operational execution.

What We Offer
  • Stock Options

  • 100% paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance for Employees

  • Company Health Savings Account Contributions

  • 100% paid Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance for Employees

  • Life and Voluntary Supplemental Insurance Options

  • Other Insurance Options, such as Pet & Legal Insurance

  • Flexible Spending Account

  • 401(k)
