Graham is actively recruiting a Project Accountant Team Lead to join our Infrastructure Division. Reporting to the Operations Finance Controller, the Project Accountant Team Lead will lead a team of Operations Accountants while providing financial leadership and support across a diverse portfolio of complex infrastructure projects and joint ventures. In this role, you will partner closely with business unit and project leaders to deliver accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis that supports informed decision-making and operational success. As a trusted business partner, you will help drive financial performance, maintain strong accounting processes and controls, and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of some of the region’s most impactful infrastructure projects.
Your Role in Building What Matters - From Office to Site
  • Lead project accounting operations across a portfolio of infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, month-end close activities, billing, costing, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards

  • Partner with project and operations leadership to provide financial analysis, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and performance insights that support informed business decisions

  • Manage and develop a team of Operations Accountants, providing guidance, oversight, and support to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality accounting services

  • Drive financial governance by maintaining strong internal controls, supporting audits, ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance, and identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business unit leadership, collaborating with project teams on contract administration, cash management, commercial matters, and financial strategy across complex infrastructure projects

The Right Tools for the Job

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, or a related field, combined with a CPA designation and 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years leading finance or accounting teams

Technical Skills: Strong expertise in project accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, billing, cost accounting, and financial analysis, with the ability to provide meaningful insights that support operational decision-making

Core Competency: Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and financial management systems, coupled with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Construction, engineering, or heavy industrial industry experience is considered an asset
