JOB SUMMARY:

This position assists with planning and coordinating the design, installation and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT assets. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software and communication links. This person will also assist in ensuring the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video and wireless network services, which is achieved by planning, designing and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Computer Network Architect will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all network hardware, software and communication links. This person will also troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions. This individual shall analyze and resolve wireless local networks (WLAN) hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training where required. The Network Architect  is also responsible for the organization's telecommunications infrastructure, which includes support of our hosted VOIP solution and video conferencing environments, both internally and those integrated with Internet-based services.

This position is classified as 'Mission Essential' and will require CJIS background screening.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Three or more years' experience managing Checkpoint Firewall reflected in verifiable reference checks and resume.
  • Three or more years' experience of first contact/help desk/level 1 customer service reflected in verifiable in both reference checks and resume.
  • Experience conducting research into enterprise networking issues and products reflected in verifiable in both reference checks and resume.
  • Experience with enterprise-level LAN, WAN and WLAN engineering, design and implementation reflected in both verifiable reference checks and resume.
  • Experience engineering routers, hubs, switches and access points reflected in both verifiable reference checks and resume.
  • Experience with network capacity planning, network security principles and general network management best practices reflected in both verifiable reference checks and resume.
  • Experience with PBX, voicemail, interactive voice services, call management systems and telecommunication accounting systems reflected in both reference checks and resume.
  • Experience creating and maintaining thorough technical documentation reflected in both verifiable reference checks and resume.

PREFERENCES:

  • Experience with F5.
  • Experience with DMS/CSAB.
  • Experience with MFN (1,2, etc.).
  • Experience with EXOS.
  • Experience with VOSS.

  • The tentative salary for this position is $60,701.64.

SALARY: $57,666.60 - $63,736.68.
