What Youโll Be Doing
As a Part-Time Computer Networking Technology Instructor, youโll bring real-world IT experience into the classroom, helping students understand how technology works beyond theory.
You will:
โข Teach hands-on networking and IT skills using real-world scenarios and tools
โข Explain core concepts such as hardware, networking, security, and system troubleshooting
โข Demonstrate best practices aligned with industry standards and certifications
โข Share practical experience from the field, including problem-solving and system support
โข Mentor students at all skill levels โ from beginners to those pursuing certifications
โข Assess student progress through assignments, labs, and feedback
โข Maintain clear documentation of student performance and attendance
โข Participate in ongoing training and professional development
โข Work independently while supported by an experienced education team

Minimum Requirements
โข High School Diploma or GED
โข At least 3 years of hands-on experience in computer networking or IT
โข Associate degree preferred
โข Minimum of 2 certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Professional)
โข Proficiency with common software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
โข Strong understanding of networking, systems, and basic cybersecurity principles
โข Excellent verbal and written communication skills
โข Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage students
โข Ability to work independently and manage your schedule
