Job description

Job Responsibilities York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State. The Computer Networking Tutor performs the following functions: Troubleshooting connectivity and configuration issues with virtualized Windows and Linux servers and workstations, subnetting, binary conversion, and MindTap for Microsoft Office applications.

Facilitates students completing tasks for the those tutoring. Completion of IST 188, IST 201, IST 252, and IST 221 preferred. Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma and at least one year related experience Students or recent graduates of our Information Technology or Computer Engineering Technology programs are encouraged to apply GPA of 2.5 or above recommended Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge or experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other PC based productivity software Understanding of common PC and network hardware as well as an advanced knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, OSI, Windows Server, VM, subnetting, and net addressing)
