Job description

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Processing Operatorto join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on Weekend Night Shift.
As a Processing Operator, this candidate will be responsible for preparing, operating, and monitoring extruder and related equipment for cheese curls and balls production lines. This position works Friday-Sunday 5:55PM-5:55AM.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor a variety of processing equipment.
  • Conduct quality checks in coordination with QA team to ensure product meets standards.
  • Retrieve and stage raw materials for production.
  • Accurately maintain logs, records, and enter component usage into system at shift end.
  • Clean and sanitize processing equipment according to procedures and sanitation schedule.
  • Communicate with team members across processing and packaging to maintain workflow.
  • Train new or less experienced team members in processing operations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and report unsafe practices or equipment.
  • Perform daily housekeeping and participate in sanitation tasks using appropriate tools and cleaning agents.
  • Operate a forklift and high-reach equipment as needed.
  • Lift items up to 70 lbs and work safely around hot water, chemicals, and wet/slippery floors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
