Job description

Looking for a job you enjoy with flexible hours that work with YOUR busy schedule? Maybe you are looking for a part time job that works around YOUR other jobs. Village Caregiving is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, in-home caregiver and/or CNA to assist clients with their daily activities in the comfort of their own home. The position will require Caregivers traveling to and from the client(s) home in and around Lake City, MN. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating

  • Companionship

  • Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation

  • Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, errands, walks etc.)

  • Plan and prepare meals

  • Assist with physical therapy exercise

  • Perform light housekeeping duties

  • Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

  • Use common sense principals 

Qualifications

  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

  • Timeliness and self-discipline

  • Availability to meet client needs as requested

  • Dependability 

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends

  • Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (preferred)

  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

  • Supportive and compassionate

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience as a Caregiver (preferred)

  • Take pride in providing high quality care

$18.00 - $22.00 per Hour
