MAYO CIVIC CENTER
POSITION: Ticket Seller
DEPARTMENT: Box Office
REPORTS TO: Box Office Manager
FLSA STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $13.06 - $14.06
Benefits: Paid Sick Leave
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to process single ticket sales for various events at the Mayo Civic Center. This position will also work Will Call and customer service windows during events, as well as perform any other related ticketing duties. Ticket sellers are expected to maintain accuracy when handling all financial and ticketing transactions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Process single ticket sales at the box office and assist with group sales when requested.
  • Familiarize self with the various venue layouts.
  • Answer questions concerning admission fees, fares, schedules, reservations, coming attractions and ticket policies in person, over the telephone, and email.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests inside the Mayo Civic Center.
  • Balance all applicable transactions for the date of service and complete all necessary reports before departure.
  • Open cash and all monies, checks, vouchers, coupons, or credit cards received during daily sales.
  • Maintain a daily audit of all ticketed events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Box Office Manager or Supervisor.

  • Must be able to pass a credit and background screening.
  • Must be able to work various nights & weekends.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Computer and cash handling experience strongly preferred.
  • Box office or guest service background preferred.
