24 hours/week, 8:00am-4:30pm, Oasis, Coding and Quality Documentation Specialist, Home Care, Emerson Health, Concord, MA

Job Summary

Reporting to the Quality Improvement Manager, this position provides technical and administrative support for Home Care clinical documentation. The Specialist ensures that OASIS data and ICD-10 coding are accurate and compliant with State and Federal regulations from a technical standpoint. This role focuses on data integrity, workflow efficiency, and the precise application of coding guidelines to support the agency's financial and regulatory health

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Education
    • Bachelor preferred.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience in home health coding or health information management preferred.
  • Licensure and/or Certification
    • Home Care Coding Specialist (HCS-D) required
    • Home Care Clinical Specialist-OASIS (HCS-O), or Certification of OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) required
  • Skills
    • Proficiency in OASIS, PPS, and Medicare COP’s.
    • Strong attention to technical details.
    • Computer literacy

The role is primarily remote while supporting OASIS documentation and clinical coding.  Occasional onsite meeting/education to support Home Care operations are required. Following successful onboarding and based on departmental needs, the position is eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement that includes up to 75% remote workdays per week, subject to supervisor approval.
