Job Summary:
NVIDIA is a leader in AI, robotics, and accelerated computing, seeking a Developer Relations Manager for their Robotics ecosystem team. This role involves driving the adoption of the Newton framework and leading developers in utilizing NVIDIA Warp for next-generation GPU-accelerated solvers in robotics.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Drive global adoption of the Newton framework. Partner with industry leaders, academic researchers, and major ISVs to integrate specific solvers (FEM, MPM, granular dynamics) into the Newton ecosystem.
โ€ข Lead technical advisory for NVIDIA Warp, helping developers write high-performance GPU kernels for physics and geometry processing across real-time and multi-platform systems.
โ€ข Co-design reference architectures using Newtonโ€™s multi-physics capabilities (rigid body, soft body, and cloth coupling).
โ€ข Represent the robotics community to internal teams to influence the roadmaps for Newton, Warp, and Isaac Lab based on real-world requirements.
โ€ข Produce "Warp-native" solver templates, white papers on differentiable simulation, and lead sessions at major conferences (GTC, ICRA, CoRL).
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 8+ years in tech and hands-on in computational physics, geometry processing, numerical simulation, physics engine development, or robotics software.
โ€ข Masterโ€™s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on simulation (or equivalent experience).
โ€ข Deep understanding of physics solvers (XPBD, VBD, Semi-Implicit Euler) and robotics math (kinematics, dynamics, contact modeling).
โ€ข Expertise in Multibody Dynamics (Featherstoneโ€™s algorithms, RNEA, Spatial Vector Algebra).
โ€ข Strong grasp of Inverse Kinematics (IK), trajectory optimization, and motion planners (OMPL).
โ€ข Practical experience modeling sensor noise, actuator dynamics (latency, friction, hysteresis), and contact mechanics to bridge the 'Reality Gap.'
โ€ข Proven GPGPU programming skills (CUDA kernels, thread synchronization, memory hierarchies).
โ€ข Ability to translate sophisticated numerical methods into value propositions for both PhD or equivalent experience researchers and C-suite executives.
โ€ข Track record of contributions to major projects (e.g., MuJoCo, PyBullet, Drake).
Preferred:
โ€ข An established network within the humanoid robotics or industrial automation sectors.
โ€ข Experience simulating high-DoF systems and complex contact-rich interactions.
โ€ข Confirmed use of differentiable simulation for System Identification (SysID) or design optimization.
โ€ข Experience in kernel programming (Warp, Numba, Triton) or tensor programming (JAX, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
โ€ข Authoring or implementing novel solvers for fluid-structure interaction or non-smooth dynamics.
