The Opportunity
Nutrition at UHP goes far beyond meal plans and clinical counseling.
We're looking for a Performance Dietitian & Nutrition Instructor who is passionate about teaching, coaching, and helping others understand how nutrition fuels performance, recovery, resilience, and long-term health.
You'll educate future coaches, collaborate with our culinary and performance teams, and help shape the nutrition experience across campus. This is an opportunity to build something meaningful while making a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities
Nutrition Instruction
  • Deliver engaging nutrition instruction across UHP's CPT, IHC, and CNC programs.
  • Teach performance nutrition, recovery, hydration, behavior change, and practical application.
  • Facilitate classroom instruction and hands-on learning experiences.
Program Development
  • Help build and evolve UHP's nutrition curriculum.
  • Develop educational resources and improve program content.
  • Support best practices for nutrition education across UHP.
Performance & Collaboration
  • Partner with performance coaches and culinary leadership to align nutrition with student success.
  • Help shape campus nutrition systems, menus, and recovery strategies.
  • Mentor students and collaborate across instructional teams.
Qualifications
Required
  • Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching, coaching, or facilitating adult learners.
  • Experience applying nutrition principles within performance, wellness, coaching, or operational environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred
  • Experience working with athletes, coaches, military, tactical, or other high-performance populations.
  • Experience developing curriculum or educational programming.
  • Experience collaborating with culinary or food service teams.
  • Military service or experience supporting veteran populations.
  • CSSD or other sports/performance nutrition certifications (or working toward them).

Schedule & Work Environment
  • Schedule: Flexibility is required based on campus operational needs, including varying shifts, occasional weekends, and instructional coverage requirements across our 800+ acre environment.
  • Work Environment: Fully onsite at 25200 Ranch Road, Gentry, AR 72734 within a fast-paced, immersive human performance and coaching environment. This role requires daily interaction with students, coaches, and leadership teams while operating in a highly collaborative setting.
