Job Description

A Day in the Life 

  • The Health Care Educator-NRP is responsible for providing instruction and skills testing for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program course (NRP) for MHC employees throughout the MHC system.  The educator possesses good communication, teaching and feedback skills.  The educator is required to teach at least two courses per year for Munson Healthcare. The educator may need to travel to different locations for classes located throughout the Munson Healthcare system.
Qualifications

What’s Required  

  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), or Physician in the State of Michigan.
  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical nursing, education or related field required with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a neonatal nurse, neonatal qualified RRT, Neonatal NP or PA, or physician working with neonatal patients required.
  • Current NRP provider certificate required.
  • Current NRP instructor certification preferred. Must obtain within six months of date of hire.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
