Overview

The Manager,  FP&A is a key finance position and an opportunity for a highly technical and analytical finance professional to launch a great career at HireRight.This role reports to the Americas Director of Finance and provides business partner decision support to executive management and key functional leaders in the Technology & Product organization. This position works closely with senior leaders to ensure accurate forecasting of global labor and non-labor expenses, one time & recurring technology investments aimed at modernizing HireRight technology platforms, and more. We are looking for an individual who can build collaborative relationships across HireRight while driving greater insights into business performance. Finally, the position requires a can-do attitude and a proactive hands-on approach that is detail oriented with a high degree of intellectual curiosity, a drive continuous improvement and automation.This is a hybrid position (3 days onsite required) in our Nashville, TN office. 

Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and management of annual budgets and forecasts of global technology & product labor expense (gross and net of capitalization), non-labor expenses (software, consulting, etc.), and more.
  • Develop and maintain robust labor planning models.
  • Build out of new project & initiative-based forecast & budget model - complete with bottom-up labor assumptions as well as clear insights into labor capitalization assumptions and results.
  • Experience designing & managing labor & capacity planning models including direct linkage to large enterprise time tracking software (Oracle Time & Labor, Jira, etc.)
  • Direct management of one Sr. Financial Analyst supporting the technology & product organizations.
  • Support continuous improvement of reporting capabilities, including standardization of metrics and development of automated reports and scorecards.
  • Proactively assess new opportunities to drive business efficiencies and their impact to the financial and business goals of the company.
  • Support strategic planning efforts, developing business cases for transformational initiatives.
  • Complete other ad hoc finance projects and initiatives as required.
  • The Manager, Technology FP&A is a key member of the Global FP&A team and works closely with team members to support important departmental priorities.
  • Partner with division executives and their senior leaders to provide financial and business advice and instill a high degree of financial discipline.
  • Implement, maintain, and support various financial reporting tools utilize by the Global FP&A team includes but not limited to: Excel, Solver, RevVana (Salesforce), Tableau, PowerBI, D365.
Qualifications
  • Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 5 - 8 years of progressive hands-on leadership and management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Technology to drive cross-functional alignment on how key pillars of organizational technology roadmap items will be funded.
  • Working knowledge of software development lifecycle and financial management best practices for agile development organizations.
  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance. MBA from a top-tier institution preferred.
  • Proficiency with large quantity of data in Excel, accounting and forecasting systems.
  • Strong financial modeling and presentation skills.
  • Experience supporting operations organizations that leverage large vendor partners.
  • Quickly grasps the key business drivers in the background screening market.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Adapts well but maintains a strong analytical orientation, speaking critically to the effects of decisions on company financials.
  • Ability to champion ideas via fact-based analysis and reasoned judgment to optimize business results.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing virtual teams and ability to collaborate cross functionally.
  • Makes decisions that balance a variety of factors (e.g. cost, risk, competitive position, short term vs. long term) to achieve an optimal outcome.
  • Adept at prioritizing. Can quickly separate the mission-critical from the nice to haves, senses what is the next most important thing to work on and focuses on the critical few that add significant value.
