- High-Speed Editing: Cut and prepare video sequences for broadcast and streaming platforms on tight, live-television deadlines.
- Script Integration: Update iNews scripts with precise running times and cue markers for on-air graphics.
- Editorial Quality Control: Maintain absolute accuracy by auditing scripts against edited video and immediately alerting producers and writers to any discrepancies.
- Digital & Social Collaboration: Identify, clip, and optimize compelling video elements tailored specifically for digital and social media publication.
- Long-Form & Features: Edit special reports, sweeps pieces, and other long-form content as assigned.
- Workflow Support: Assist the Editing Coordinator with feed intake, archival video restoration, and "rundown checks" to ensure every asset is online before hit-time.
- Leadership & Tech Agility: Step in as the Editing Coordinator when needed, operate ENG Receive equipment, and manage video/audio switching gear to support live streaming initiatives.
