Job description

Overview Adventure Media & Events, a family of affiliated media companies covering the toy, licensing, and entertainment industries, is seeking a remote, part-time news writer to craft news briefs for thetoyinsider.com, thepopinsider.com, and toybook.com. Contract Details Four-month contract position, May 2026 through August 2026, with potential to renew. Remote work; 2 or 3 days per week, 9:00 a.m.โ€“5:00 p.m.

ET (8-hour shift). Pay: $22.00 per hour. Optional on-site work in New York City.

Responsibilities Writing short, daily news posts for all three sites Writing new product descriptions and company overviews for print magazines Basic photo editing (including resizing to web specs) Writing photo captions Uploading and formatting content via WordPress CMS Identifying news-worthy stories and searching for topics to cover Writing product descriptions for various online features, gift guides, and more There is also an opportunity to create listicles and feature-length stories for all three sites Required Skills Experience with writing news briefs for news-based websites A basic understanding of Photoshop Familiarity with AP style Familiarity with Google Suite Experience with WordPress CMS Interest in toys, collectibles, kids' entertainment, and/or pop culture Able to balance multiple projects and prioritize workload All required technology, including a computer and a strong internet connection #J-18808-Ljbffr
