Position Summary

The Network Administrator serves as a key technical resource responsible for the design, analysis, optimization, and continuous improvement of BraunAbility's enterprise network infrastructure. This roleleadsthe engineering of secure, scalable, and high-performing network solutions across a multi-site manufacturing environment, supporting both corporate IT and operational technology (OT).

The position requires advanced technicalexpertiseand independent judgment to analyze business and operational requirements, define network specifications, and implement infrastructure solutions that enable reliable and secure connectivity across all facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Network Engineering & Systems Analysis

• Analyze business, manufacturing, and operational requirements todesign network architecture and connectivity solutions

• Engineer and implementLAN/WAN, segmentation, and network infrastructure strategiesacross multiple sites

• Evaluate and recommendnetwork technologies, configurations, and performance improvements

• Leadcapacity planning, redundancy design, and infrastructure optimization initiatives

• Define andmaintainnetwork standards, architecture principles, and best practices

Network Design & Configuration

• Design and configureCisco-based network environmentsincluding routing, switching, andfirewallarchitecture

• Develop and implementVLAN structures, segmentation strategies, and secure network frameworks

• Modify andoptimizesystem configurations based onperformance analysis and evolving business needs

• Ensure integration of IT and OT environments throughsecure and reliable network design

Performance Optimization & Advanced Troubleshooting

• Performdeep-dive analysis of network performance,identifyingtrends, risks, and improvement opportunities

• Leadroot cause analysis effortsfor complex or recurring network issues

• Resolveadvanced connectivity and infrastructure challenges requiringindependent technical judgment

• Proactivelyidentifyand implementpreventative solutionsto enhance system reliability

Security & Infrastructure Strategy

• Design andmaintainnetwork security architecture, including segmentation and access controls

• Evaluate and implementsecurity enhancements and vulnerability remediation strategies

• Ensure network infrastructure aligns withenterprise security standards and compliance requirements

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

• Serve as atechnical subject matter expertfor network infrastructure across the organization

• Partner with IT, engineering, and operations teams toalign network solutions with business needs

• Provide guidance and direction to internal teams and external vendors onnetwork architecture and standards

• Lead technical coordination with vendors, ISPs, and partners oninfrastructure design and issue resolution

Infrastructure Oversight & Implementation

• Oversee deployment of network infrastructure, ensuring installations align witharchitectural standards and design intent

• Provide technicaldirectionforequipment installation, cabling, and infrastructure projects

• Validate and approve infrastructure implementations to ensurequality, scalability, and compliance

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Develop andmaintainnetwork architecture documentation, diagrams, and design standards

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives tomodernize infrastructure and standardize processes

• Identifyopportunities to enhanceefficiency, reliability, and scalability of network systems

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience

- 3+ years of network administration experience

- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment

- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP

- Experience with Windows environments and Active Directory

Preferred

- Cisco certification (CCNA or CCNP)

- Experience in manufacturing or industrial IT environments

- Experience with fiber networking and structured cabling

Working Conditions

- Work performed in both office and manufacturing floor environments

- May requirelifting upto 40lbsand working in confined spaces or equipment closets

- Occasional after-hours work for maintenance or incident response
